Foundational Values
- The Salt and Light Principle: Our mission is to impact the Greek community and the world, not merely through invitation, but through intentional attempts at involving ourselves in the lives of others and through sharing the Gospel by means of those relationships. We are committed to engaging the world with truth and grace.
- The Body Principle: The ministry of the local church, that is, congregations of believers, are essential to the development of all Christians. The Cross is not a substitute for those ministries, but a partner, and is committed to helping Greek students understand their position among a strong Biblical body. In addition, we will respectfully utilize the resources of local churches for the development of this ministry. We are committed to the Body of Christ.
- The Student Ownership Principle: Students, in many cases, have better opportunities to influence their peers than do any other particular groups of people. Therefore, The Cross is committed to equipping and empowering students for ministry, while providing opportunities for them to plan and implement creative means according to Biblical mandates. We are committed to student leadership.
- The Greek Principle: The target audience for this ministry is men and women who are members of Greek Letter Organizations. All students are welcome to participate in every aspect of our ministry, but our initiatives are especially catered to the Greek community. We are committed to the Greek community.
- The Sowing Principle: Teaching the Word of God is the most important aspect of any Christ-centered ministry. Our goal is to help individuals know the Lord in a personal manner through the instruction of sound doctrine, and then to help them apply that knowledge in their own lives and in the lives of others. We are committed to teaching the Bible as the Word of God.
